Imperial Interfaith

One of the main areas of work for Chaplaincy over the last three years has been interfaith dialogue and action. Last year students led some amazing events. Over 300 people attended ‘Uni-Faith’ in Nov 2009. Speakers from eight world religions introduced ideas for shared dialogue and co-operation from thier own traditions. This was followed by dialogue events on Science and Religion, faith and the environment, and a Jewish-Muslim dialogue. The dialogue led to action in response the Haiti earthquake with students holding tube station collections and a music, dance and comdey night.

This year started well – with new T-shirts! But already students have held a dialogue on ‘Religion and Freedom of Speech’ with input from the Joseph Foundation and the Minister for Local Government and Communities, Andrew Stunnel MP.
